Project Description:
La Peluquería Records is a music production studio in Chile, founded 2019.
Peluqería is Spanish for Hairdresser, and during the 80’s this was a place to hang out, a place where different ideas were brought together through gossip and casual conversations - a place for mixing.
For their logo, I copied the aesthetics of an 80’s neon sign, spelling out their name with glowing calligraphy letters, adding a retro style plug cable and a few curved lines of a vinyl disk. Besides its use as a digital image, the logo is made into an actual neon sign, casting a bright magenta light on the performing musicians.
