Project Description:
Glocales is an organization based in Chile that initiates collaborations between South American countries, focusing on public education. The name Glo-cales combines the English word Global and the Spanish word Locales, meaning locals, suggesting a form of globalization that also preserves local culture.
This is reflected in the logo where a map of South America frames an Araucaria tree, an ancient symbol for indigenous culture in Chile. Aiming for a contemporary look, I used the San Serif font called Montserrat.
